The Challenge
Café Restaurante L'Express has been a benchmark for hospitality in the center of Valencia for years, in the heart of Plaça de Mossén Sorell. With a loyal and varied clientele — tourists, local workers, families — the venue operated with a paper menu and updated the daily menu by hand.
The problem was clear: customers were constantly asking via WhatsApp what was available, paper menus deteriorated and became more expensive over time, and there was no way to display allergen information in a clear and orderly manner, something increasingly required by regulations.
